In early October, the release of REmojis changed the way real estate agents could communicate with one another.
REmojis, which stands for Real Estate Emojis is available to download in the Apple app store for 99 cents, Android users can download the emojis from their website for $1.99. While the emojis aren’t completely customizable, users can choose from a variety of characters to best represent them.
By sharing fun bitmoji style cartoons, Agents can text inside jokes back and forth to one another or give one-click updates on a transaction.
Some of the emojis include a flustered agent carrying open house signs, an agent standing at the auction block during a (fictional) bidding war, and an excited agent exclaiming “let’s do this.”
The home buying process can be a frightening task for buyers, especially first-time ones. While agents work hard to make the process as seamless as possible, something as simple as sharing a fun emoji can help calm their nerves and put a smile on their face.
The emojis are cartoon versions of actual real estate scenarios, steps taken during the home buying process are depicted with bright, smiling cartoons, such as opening escrow, becoming preapproved for a loan, or having the listing agreement signed.
While they may not replace more professional or personal forms of communication like an e-mail or phone call, the emojis definitely add a level of fun to real estate transactions.
